A fundamental catalyst for conflict is when both parties either compete for the same resource or are antagonistic due to perceived danger from each other. Bringing in valuable skills to rural communities will reduce this while also creating a greater appreciation for the natural world.
The training is focussed on Naturalist Skills as it not only enables an avenue for revenue but relies on the need for natural spaces with healthy biodiversity. Alongside this, we intend to enable the setting up of birdwatching, nature walks and nature home stays amongst the community around us using our campus as a classroom for training.
The aim of this initiative is to help develop a framework within the community to steer away from uncertain and harmful agricultural practices and toward environmentally and ecologically sound practices that provide more security and are less affected by climate vagaries.
